Each year, the RISFL will award an individual whose outstanding achievements in the
fire service and community provides examples of exemplary performance. This prestigious award is one of the Rhode Island State Firemen's League's newest
initiatives, the RISFL Recognition Program. Nominated by their peers, the recipients will be presented with a plaque and their names placed in history at RISFL.
The following conditions should be considered when submitting a candidate's nomination:
- Individual selected must have given outstanding service to his or her community in the fire service.
- This award is not necessarily for heroism.
- A committee will review all names submitted for consideration. The award committee will convene prior to the Presidents' Dinner Meeting in October to review the names submitted.
Submission Deadline:
Nominations shall be received by the chairman of the committee by July 1st of each year.
No more than one award shall be presented at the Annual Presidents' Dinner Meeting.
