Established in 1898, the object and purpose of the Rhode Island State Firemen's League is to unite the firefighters of
the State of Rhode Island through the local Fire Associations of which they belong for social, instructive, educational, and legislative purposes.
Membership in the League is comprised of two elected or appointed representatives from each of the affiliated Fire
Associations. These affiliated Fire Associations include career and volunteer fire service associations serving within the cities and towns of Rhode Island as well as recognized veteran firefighter groups.
